Dark Portrait

An unfinished painting that's taken about 7 hrs total. i've learned a lot about color and values. i still need to add a few more things here and there. hopefully it gets done soon :)

So since i haven't been able to paint in a while due to school scheduling issues i've put this painting asside and i've been wanting to continue and finish it. hopefully it will get done soon along with all my other unfinished work, let me know what you think :)

Jean Sebastian Rossbach!

So how AWESOME was it when I received a comment on my myspace page, from a very skilled and overall great artist like Jean Sebastian Rossbach!!! He's been on the cover of ImagineFX issue 26 January 2008 and shows a tutorial of his work. check out his website: http://livingrope.free.fr/ , he's a pretty cool artist as well as all the others on my links list. But aw man, that made my day!

Here is something i'm doing for fun/practice for my wacom. I'm having a lot of fun painting this and as I progress I might use different styles, we'll see how it turns out!
Here is my progress as of 4/6/08 still more to go, but this is about 45% done.

UPDATE!

I've posted a few of the things I've been working on/ things that I've finished, and I feel accomplished, and I feel like I'm progressing everytime I start a new piece, which is always a good thing. I hope to build up my speed and maybe, even incorporate new effects and other techniques to my art, so I dont seem, repetetive. let me know how im improving or if I need improvments on stuff. Thanks!

I'm a hack, but I thought this came out pretty decent. I'm still a beginner, but I've learned alot in the few short weeks that I've had a wacom; I learn fast.

Here's my new project, it's a character i want to develop, hopefully, you'll see more, and the finished product soon. As you can see, this has been my process, it's not coming out too bad, i think!
